Leaving Care Solutions are a leading provider of semi-independent accommodation and support for young people leaving care.  Our vision is to make a positive and lasting difference to young people who have been in care and are moving towards independence by providing young people with accommodation/housing, as well as support them to move towards living independently and achieving in education, training and employment.

We are looking for committed and enthusiastic Support Workers to work full time 40hrs per week with regular opportunities for paid overtime. As a Support Worker, you will engage, motivate and encourage young people placed in their individual flat or shared house. 

Offering practical support and guidance in line with their individual care plan, you will maintain positive working relationships with young people, staff and professionals by communicating effectively at all times and support young people in Education, Employment and Training, who are working towards an accredited learning qualification, by evidencing work completed and submitting this to the relevant instructor.  

The young people you are working with are vulnerable, so you are responsible for ensuring that the home in which you are working provides a safe, welcoming and healthy environment for the young person living there.

All applicants must have:

- Experience of supporting young people who may be vulnerable.

- Flexibility in their availability as the roles involve shift work – sleep-in nights, evenings and weekends

- NVQ 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent (desirable) although full on-the-job training given

- Be willing to travel

You will be required to work on a rota basis (between 7am -11pm) which includes evening, weekends & two sleep-in duties (additional will be paid)
