Support Workers & Team Leaders

Grenfell Support Service is a not for profit partnership developed to support individuals and families affected by the fire at Grenfell Tower. Our focus is to provide trained staff who will listen, look for solutions to a range of issues that an individual or family might be facing, as well as offering practical help with tasks such as shopping, attending appointments and childcare. 

We are looking for exemplary, committed and highly motivated Support Workers and Team Leaders to help improve the day to day lives of local residents who are facing multiple challenges in the aftermath of the tragedy.

These positions a fixed term for one year (with potential of extension).  Full time and Part time posts are available 

Starting salary will be dependent on experience but salary range for the posts are: SUPPORT WORKERS - £26K T0 £32K PER ANNUM, PLUS BENEFITS      TEAM LEADERS  - £32 TO £38K PER ANNUM, PLUS BENEFITS.

Role Details

With the skills to support, empathise and advocate, you will take the time to listen and respond sensitively and appropriately, working alongside individuals and families towards the outcomes that they have identified for themselves. Your role will be to:

listen to what someone needs

provide practical day-to day solutions and support

provide information about other services, resources and community support

advocate on behalf of individuals and families with other agencies for access to relevant services

 With a background in social care, family support or a related area and an understanding of the complex challenges faced by individuals, it is essential that you have at least two years’ experience of working in this sector as well as a sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
