Casual Education Support Worker
Core Assets Children's Services are looking for Casual Education Support Workers in the Northumberland area and Newcastle. This will be a as and when required role with an hourly rate on £8.12 per hour + benefits.
We work on behalf of a national charity who provide grants for families across the UK who are raising a disabled or seriously ill child or young person aged 17 and under. As part of the application process families receive a visit to discuss their application in further detail and make recommendations based upon their eligibility criteria. As such, applications are being considered for both roles
As an Education Support Worker, you will be instrumental in enabling young people to develop the skills required to achieve the programme outcomes and qualifications.
By offering information, advice and guidance, you will also promote and reinforce the self-esteem of young people, and support them in their individual development.
You will liaise with Instructors, contributing to programme development and will work with young people in small groups or 1:1, supporting high quality delivery across all areas of the curriculum.
- A qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy equivalent to at least level 2 of the National Qualifications Framework
- Experience of working with young people with Special Educational Needs/ complex needs and their families, within an educational setting
- Knowledge of development and learning processes, in particular the key factors that can affect the way young people learn
This is a casual as and when required role with a salary of £8.12 per hour + benefits. Full training for the role will be provided.
